About Us

Frontier Healthcare Group was formed in year 2002 through the merger of 3 general practice clinics. Currently, we are operating 11 general practice clinics and 1 Family Medicine Clinic (FMC). These clinics are staffed by a core team of Family Physicians and General Practitioners. We recognise that it is important for our doctors to be trained and certified in postgraduate family medicine to deliver high standards of care to our community. In addition, our clinic assistants are required to undergo continuing training to maintain the Group’s minimum standards in delivery of healthcare services. In this way, we strive to build a quality healthcare team.

Our doctors are actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate Family Medicine teaching, working closely with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in the National University of Singapore, the Division of Family Medicine in the National University Health System (NUHS) and the College of Family Physicians Singapore.

Since 2011, our Group has been involved as one of the key partners in the NUHS Family Medicine Residency Programme. This programme has been accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education – International (ACGME-I) and aims to equip the Family Medicine resident with educational and clinical experiences in accordance with ACGME-I standards, which focuses on structured training and close supervision.

In 2012, our Group in collaboration with the Agency for Integrated Care, pioneered and operationalised the Primary Care Network (PCN) in Singapore. The PCN model has evolved from the pilot phase then to the current MOH-endorsed national framework. The Frontier Primary Care Network comprises a network of GP clinics formed from Frontier’s clinics and independent small GP clinics in the community. The PCN model aims to support private GPs to deliver quality team-based care in chronic disease management.

On 28th March 2013, we started operating the Frontier Family Medicine Clinic in Clementi Central. This is a multi-doctor, multi-disciplinary medical centre that has been set up in care partnership with National University Hospital, as part of the Health Ministry’s Primary Care Master Plan.

Since 2015, Frontier Healthcare Group has been sponsoring the Gold Medal Award to top graduating students from the Diploma in Health Services Management programme. This award is given out yearly, to the top student of the graduating cohort, in recognition of the student’s outstanding academic achievements. The Diploma in Health Service Management is also the only diploma programme offered by Republic Polytechnic, to train the next generation of healthcare administrators, for the evolving healthcare landscape.

In late 2021, we welcome Qualitas Healthcare as a strategic investor in our Group. With this development, our Group is positioned to expand and grow its footprint in Singapore.
