Silent Cardiac Risk Screening
Your cholesterol level is only one part of the picture, and some people can still develop heart disease despite having “normal” cholesterol results.
Our Silent Cardiac Risk Screening includes four advanced blood tests that provide additional information about your cardiovascular risk.
These tests help your doctor better understand your heart health, especially if you have a family history of heart disease or other cardiovascular risk factors.

Opt for our Silent Cardiac Risk Screening if you:
- Have a family history of premature heart disease or stroke
- Have been told you have borderline or high cholesterol
- Have diabetes, hypertension or metabolic syndrome
- Want a deeper look into your heart health beyond standard, basic health screening packages
- Measures the number of potentially artery-clogging lipoprotein particles in your blood
- May provide a more accurate assessment of cardiovascular risk in certain individuals
- Genetically inherited cholesterol particle
- Associated with an increased lifetime risk of cardiovascular disease
- Measures low levels of inflammation in the body
- Persistent low-grade inflammation of the blood vessel walls can cause existing plaques to become unstable and more likely to rupture, resulting in heart attacks
- Can also rise during infections or inflammatory illnesses – your doctor will interpret the results in the context of your overall health
- When levels are too high, it acts like “sandpaper” on blood vessels, damaging the vessel walls
- High levels are associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease
Preparing for your Screening:
1. Do I need to fast?
- We recommend fasting for at least 8 hours before your test.
- Drinking plain water is still encouraged during the fasting period to help you stay hydrated.
2. Reschedule your test if you are feeling unwell
- Any infection, injury or flare-up of an inflammatory condition will cause a temporary spike in your hs-CRP levels
- We recommend waiting until you have been completely symptom-free for at least 2 weeks before taking this test
